Black History Month: NASA Honors DeVine Consulting, High Technology Solutions for Space & Defense

Jeffrey DeVine started DeVine Consulting, Inc. (DeVine) in 1999. DeVine brings dedicated employees who provide vast expertise and mastery in the development of scientific applications and support solutions.

A Black Owned technology and services company, DeVine achievements are far beyond what most perceive as possible for a company of its size - in a market long been dominated by big players.

With a focus on federal and defense projects, DeVine offers a broad spectrum of state-of-the-art products and groundbreaking solutions that include scientific application development, global weather and atmospheric data modeling, high-performance computing, multisource data assimilation and management for meteorology, oceanology, climatology, and aerosol modeling. Devine's expanding portfolio of capabilities also includes a growing practice in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

A small, disadvantaged technology business, DeVine's client roster includes NASA Ames, multiple divisions of the Naval Research Laboratories (NRL), as well as the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO), Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) and the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC).

DeVine supports the Sci Net Ops (Science Network Operations) team for the SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy) project at NASA AMES and AFRC (Armstrong Flight Research Center). This effort is tasked with a variety of mission critical responsibilities that are essential for SOFIA mission success. Sci Net Ops ensures end to end stability, availability, performance and security for mission support equipment, services and data. Based upon our performance, we were awarded the AMES Small Business Subcontractor of the year. DeVine also conducts outreach events for underserved communities, to encourage the next generation of scientists.
